Main tasks and responsibilities

 

This role oversees the full lifecycle of electro-chemical equipment projects, and will act as the primary window between clients, internal technical teams (R&D, engineering, production), and suppliers, ensuring seamless project execution and client satisfaction.

 

Project Planning & Initiation

  1. Lead client meetings to gather and clarify project requirements, including technical specifications, performance indicators, delivery timelines, and budget constraints for electro-chemical equipment.
  2. Develop comprehensive project plans, resource allocation (human, material, equipment), timeline schedules (using tools like Gantt charts, MS Project), and risk management plans.
  3. Coordinate with R&D and engineering teams to conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and cost estimates for project execution.

 

Project Execution & Coordination

  1. Oversee the end-to-end project execution, including equipment design, component procurement, manufacturing, assembly, and factory acceptance testing (FAT).
  2. Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, production, quality control, logistics) to ensure alignment with project plans, resolve technical bottlenecks, and maintain production efficiency.
  3. Conduct regular project progress meetings, issue status reports to clients and internal stakeholders, and proactively communicate updates, delays, or risks.
  4. Ensure strict adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, local safety regulations) and company quality management systems throughout the project lifecycle.

 

After-Sales Support & Client Relationship Management

  1. Coordinate post-delivery support, including staff training, maintenance guidance, and troubleshooting for clients to ensure smooth equipment operation.
  2. Address client complaints or feedback promptly, work with internal teams to implement corrective actions, and maintain long-term client relationships.
  3. Identify potential upselling or cross-selling opportunities based on client needs and project performance.

 

Project Closure & Continuous Improvement

  1. Lead project closure activities, including final documentation (as-built drawings, operation manuals, test reports), financial reconciliation, and team debriefings.
  2. Conduct post-project reviews to analyze project performance, identify successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  3. Update project management processes, templates, and best practices based on lessons learned to enhance future project efficiency.

 

 

Education and professional experience

 

Educations & Language

  1. Bachelors degree or above in, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Masters degree is preferred.
  2. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required for international client coordination. additional languages are a plus, such as Japanese and/or German.

 

Professional Experience

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience in the electro-chemical equipment industry.
  2. Familiar with the full project lifecycle structure (initiation, planning, execution, control, closure) in a manufacturing or industrial equipment context.
  3. Knowledge of electro-chemical processes (e.g., electrolysis).

 

Technical & Professional Skills

  1. Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, etc.) and MS office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  2. Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to electro-chemical equipment (e.g., safety, environmental, quality standards). Certifications in quality management (ISO 9001) or safety management (e.g., OSHA) are advantageous.
  3. Strong technical troubleshooting ability and familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and chemical components of electro-chemical equipment.

  1. Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  2. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with a focus on detail and results.

Working Conditions

  1. Hybrid work mode (office + on-site client visits/factory supervision).
  2. Occasional business trips (domestic and international) to client sites or supplier facilities.
  3. Exposure to industrial environments (factories, production sites) where electro-chemical equipment is manufactured or installed.
