Within the Engineering Team, the Mechanical Engineer Manager provides experienced engineering judgment and contributes to the design, development and implementation of complex mechanical systems and technical solutions for projects and products.
The role operates across the full engineering lifecycle, working on system‑level solutions and supporting manufacturing, projects and commercial activities. It requires a strong analytical approach and the ability to evaluate technical alternatives, risks and impacts, ensuring robust, compliant and cost‑effective solutions.
Key activities:
• Design and development of mechanical products and systems, including complex and integrated technical solutions,
• Preparation, review and approval of drawings, models, sketches, equipment lists and Bills of Material,
• Definition, development and maintenance of manufacturing work instructions, standard operating practices and technical documentation,
• Development and application of engineering standards, procedures and design methodologies,
• Technical support and guidance to Designers, engineers and Project Managers,
• Participation in technical discussions and reviews with external customers,
• Technical support to Sales during proposal phases, including evaluation of technical solutions and cost estimates,
• Identification and application of new engineering methods and approaches to improve quality, efficiency and cost performance.
Main Task and Responsibilities:
• Plan, manage and self‑monitor daily engineering activities with a high level of autonomy,
• Deliver engineering solutions in line with project schedules, cost targets and technical specifications,
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements and applicable health and safety procedures,
• Monitor and control engineering costs, timelines and technical risks,
• Provide engineering judgment and problem‑solving support on complex technical issues,
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, tools and ways of working,
• Collaborate closely with Designers, Project Managers, Operations and Manufacturing teams,
• Communicate technical concepts and decisions clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Education and Professional Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation or a related technical field,
• 8–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering or in a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience,
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment,
• Experience with complex mechanical systems, preferably related to water or fluid applications,
• Experience in creating P&ID drawings,
• Experience working closely with Designers and cross‑functional teams,
• Solid knowledge of commonly used engineering concepts, practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and Windows‑based applications,
• Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office tools,
• Experience using Autodesk Inventor is considered a plus,
• PLC programming experience is considered a plus,
• EIT or PE certification is considered a plus.
