Within the Engineering and Quality Function the “Quality Engineer” ensures adequate focus on the right first-time execution of engineering and production activities working with internal and external customers and suppliers. Reporting to the Technical Director the role is a hands-on role with around 20-25% travel time per calendar year. This is a customer facing role with several interactions with EPC and end users.
Main Duties
- Produce project documentation and in particular Inspection and Test Reports (ITP) and Quality Control Plans (QCP)
- Support and coordinate FAT
- Support SAT as required
- Issue /Manage / Archive Non-Conformance Reports
- Create production / assembly checklist
- Suppliers’ qualification and approval
- Take part of design reviews to make sure lessons learned are implemented
- Perform regular inspections to production and assembly sites
- Perform regular inspections to suppliers
- Coordinate and plan 3rd party inspections
Deliverables
- On time delivery of quality documents within project
- Enforce a “right first time” approach
- Non-Conformance Report metrics and improvement plans based on them
- Work Instructions and Check list to support assembly in different geographical locations
- Planning and Scheduling of inspection activities
- Department KPIs
Background
- Technical Diploma/Degree
- 10+ years experience developed in manufacturing environment and complex project and systems (O&G, Petrochemical, Pharma…)
- The ideal candidate would have experience in project-based organizations (design and manufacture to order)
- Experience within complex systems products is an advantage
- Knowledge of pressure vessels codes (PED, ASME VIII)
- Knowledge of WPS, WPQR, NDT
