Main tasks and responsibilities

Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and ensuring the accomplishment of the assigned project(s), realizing on schedule and on budget all the requirements agreed with the customer(s). Within the role of Project Engineer, the candidate can expect to:

The Project Manager will have responsibility for:

  • Driving the project including internal and external resources, budget and risks. Monitor and optimise the project critical paths
  • Delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the expected quality
  • Starting new projects on the right path by organising kick off meetings and then following up with periodic reviews. Keep the team and key stakeholders informed and updated on status. Manage project communication.
  • Ensuring projects maintain momentum by applying project management methods, practices and demonstrating sound judgment to accomplish the overall objectives.
  • Support the Project Manager in coordinating the relevant people as well as external workers, contractors, and vendors, according to the project requirements.
  • Actively tracking cost variances through the project life. Report to PM Manager the forecasted monthly costs for business revenue forecasting.
  • Identifying issues/gaps, review plans to mitigate risks and implement approved corrective actions. Propose remedials and establish recovery plans.
  • Delivering projects with strong gross margins and proposing variation claims to our clients

 

Education and professional experience

  • Working towards in STEM or Business related Degree
  • Awareness of
    • Project management techniques and methods,
    • AutoCad or other Engineering Design packages
    • MS Office (Project included),
    • MS Outlook,
  • Opportunity to learn firsthand
    • SAP
    • MS Project for Gantt and Programme creation
  • Interest in current technology and process innovation
  • Attitude to Interpersonal relations is extremely relevant,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. English is mandatory,
  • Attention to detail and takes ownership and pride in all of their work
  • Confident, assertive and goal oriented. Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines,
  • Takes an Analytical and logical approach so all outcomes are considered when decision making
  • ISO 9001-2015 quality system. Familiarity with EHS regulations
