We are seeking a highly motivated Open Innovation Program Manager who will play a pivotal role in steering the development and implementation of an innovation hub dedicated to startups. This position is central to fostering a collaborative environment where new ideas thrive and transformative projects are cultivated. The role is integral to driving forward the company’s mission of innovation and growth, ensuring that the hub remains a beacon of creativity and excellence and leads De Nora to a more structured engagement of functions and business units in open innovation projects

 

        Main tasks and responsibilities

The person will be responsible for creating strategies and plans that align with the hub’s innovation goals and with the company’s strategy, facilitating partnerships, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects within the hub. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Project management: Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of startup selection, incubation and acceleration initiatives.
  • Startup scouting and engagement: Assist in identifying and evaluating high-potential startups, conducting due diligence, and maintaining strong relationships with founders.
  • Stakeholder and partnership coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, corporate partners, mentors, and investors to drive industrial innovation and startup integration programs forward.
  • Industrial implementation: Facilitate the seamless implementation of PoCs and innovation projects, coordinating both startups and internal stakeholders and overseeing the projects’ lifecycle
  • Market and technology research: Conduct analysis on emerging trends in digital innovation, deep tech and cleantech.
  • Event and workshop coordination: Assist in organizing startup bootcamps, hackatons, demo days, mentorship sessions and startups-investors networking
  • Operational support and monitoring: Manage program logistics, reporting, and documentation; implement metrics and evaluation tools to measure the success and impact of innovation initiatives.
  • Communication: Facilitate transparent and effective communication within the hub, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

 

Requirements

 

  • Education: Degree in Engineering, Innovation Management, or related fields.
  • Project Management: Minimum three years of demonstrated experience in managing complex projects, preferably within digital innovation or startup environments.
