The Contract Manager provides comprehensive legal support to the General Counsel for De Nora Water Technologies EMEA and Singapore.

The position focuses on assisting the business across multiple product lines in both regions, with responsibilities including:

  • Reviewing and analyzing bids/RFPs, contracts, and framework agreements on both the buy and sell sides, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Advising the sales and commercial teams on contract risks, legal implications, and liability issues.
  • Supporting project managers in managing contractual obligations and claims (from both suppliers and clients).
  • Assisting in the early stages of contentious matters.
  • Contributing to Legal Department initiatives from the perspective of the EMEA and Singapore business.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of company procedures and guidelines.

This position reports directly to the General Counsel for De Nora Water Technologies EMEA and Singapore.


Key Responsibilities

  • Contractual Analysis & Drafting
    • Review and analyze NDAs or other legal documents (e.g., cooperation agreements, compliance declarations, preferred supplier declarations).
    • Draft, review, and prepare contracts for domestic and international clients in the EMEA and Singapore regions, in accordance with De Nora policies.
    • Prepare contract comments tailored to client-specific requirements (often using Excel).
  • Negotiation & Strategy
    • Participate in internal meetings with the commercial team to define negotiation strategies.
    • Attend contract negotiations with clients (primarily via Teams, occasionally in person).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Liaise with internal IP and Compliance teams, and external insurance brokers, on contract-related matters.
    • Support the commercial team in navigating legal terms during internal approval processes on the CRM platform (Salesforce).
    • Prepare executive summaries for escalation of issues which deviate from company guidelines.
  • Contract Management
    • Maintain a repository of signed contracts.
    • Contribute to updates of general terms and conditions for entities in the EMEA and Singapore regions.
  • Legal Research & Dispute Support
    • Conduct legal research on jurisdiction-specific issues as needed during contract reviews.
    • Assist in analyzing potential disputes and drafting initial correspondence to customers.
    • Support the General Counsel and Execution Team in managing external counsel and local legal advisors.
  • Training & Compliance
    • Help organize internal training sessions for Sales, Purchasing, Execution, and Engineering teams.
    • Assist in disseminating company policies and compliance procedures (e.g., export compliance, anti-bribery and corruption, agent appointments).
  • Legal Tech & Process Optimization
    • Support the General Counsel in evaluating AI tools and software platforms to streamline legal support, document management, and contract search functions.
